Photography Report-
Personal Background: Atticus Lazar was born in 2005 in Michigan. He began getting into photography at a young age with the help of his parents. Mainly taking pictures of birds, everyday objects, plants, animals and his toy cars. He is a family friend of mine and likes to help others. Lazar is very passionate about human rights issues as well.
Style: Lazar says he loves taking pictures of everyday experiences since everyone can connect with them. But he mainly enjoys taking pictures of animals and plants. He likes to capture moments in everyday life we usually don’t think about like a bird in a tree or utensils. Lazar says he likes taking pictures of personally constructed objects or objects from family members who have passed. He feels that certain objects withhold personality from the person who has passed and reminds us of them.
Philosophy: Major ideas behind his work are nature and everyday experiences. He loves traveling to different places. He wants to show how important nature is to everyday lives. He likes capturing beautiful sceneries. But he also enjoys taking pictures of more mundane things. Lazar says that he likes people to take a second look at everything they have.
Influences: Lazar says he is influenced by the things around him, mostly his family. He enjoys being around people and nature. Though I’m not as big of a people person as he is, I still appreciate his views about nature. His work influenced me to look at everyday objects and see them differently. I am sure his work can influence other people as well.

Untitled and Nap Time:
Lazar took a picture of his puppies in which his dogs had. I took a picture of my dog. They are both different species and different ages. Lazar also had Toast, the puppy on the left, surrounded by her siblings while Willow is by herself on the couch.
Dogs sleep 12-14 hours so it is easy to get a picture of them because they sleep through half the day. Sleep is very important to live because it gives us time for our bodies to recharge. I edited the photo of Willow due to the time of day which was early in the morning. I enjoy trying to emulate Lazar’s photos but no images can ever truly be the same. Recapturing daily life has also opened my eyes to things we take for granted everyday.
